Stories by email

If you join the Stories list, this site collects your email address and checks your consent to receive new stories, Journal updates and occasional emails from Roby De Vil. The signup is for adults aged 18 and over.

The form sends your email securely through this site’s Netlify-hosted signup service to EmailOctopus, which manages the mailing list and email delivery. A site-source tag is sent with the address. Your consent choice is checked before signup; the website does not maintain a separate consent record.

You can unsubscribe using the link in an email. For questions, deletion requests or help with your email preferences, use the Contact page. See EmailOctopus’s privacy policy for its processing practices.

Site storage and hosting

This build includes no dedicated advertising or analytics script. It uses a temporary session-storage flag to avoid replaying the homepage introduction after an internal Home link. This flag does not contain your email address. Netlify hosts the site and handles network requests; its infrastructure processes request information such as IP addresses. The signup endpoint limits repeated requests by IP to reduce abuse.
